Innovation Workshop – From Problem to Tested Solution

The Innovation Workshop gives your team a structured method to turn complex problems into tested ideas — user-centred, structured, repeatable. Innovation is not about inspiration: the right process gets you from problem definition to tested solution faster. After the workshop your team has a shared method they can apply independently at the next project. One day, on-site or off-site, immediately applicable.

Designthinking lernen und anwenden - unser design thinking Workshop

From problem to tested solution – the innovation process every team needs. Including how to lead AI tools through it.

You’ll learn how a structured innovation process works, which methods apply at which stage, and how teams move from vague challenges to concrete, testable solutions. Each section is a skill your team applies from day one.

Innovation fundamentals

What innovation actually is

Innovation is not creativity and not disruption – it’s the successful implementation of a new idea into real value. The distinction matters: many teams are creative but not innovative because ideas get developed but never tested, adopted, or scaled. Understanding this difference focuses effort on what actually moves the needle.

Finding the right problem

The most expensive innovation mistake is solving the wrong problem brilliantly. Your team will learn how to define problems from a user perspective before any solution is developed. A well-defined problem cuts the solution effort in half – and is the foundation of any meaningful AI brief. The creative methods for this are covered in the Kreativitätstechniken Workshop.

User perspective and observation

Innovations fail because teams assume what users want instead of observing it. Your team will learn simple methods for gaining user perspective: interviews, observation, empathy mapping. Not as a research project – as a fast foundation for better decisions. Teams that understand what people actually need build solutions that get adopted.

Generating and filtering ideas

From many ideas comes one good solution – but only when generation and evaluation are cleanly separated. Your team will learn how divergent thinking opens up options and convergent thinking reduces them to what matters. The output is not an endless idea list but a prioritized selection with clear rationale.

One day. Your team. Immediately applicable.

Innovation in practice and how AI could help

Through this workshop, you’ll gain the skills to apply design thinking principles in your business and development practices. You’ll learn how to identify user needs, visualize solutions, develop effective prototypes, measure success, and refine strategies as needed. With these methods at your disposal, you’ll be able to create products that meet real customer needs with unprecedented efficiency and effectiveness.

Design thinking is an approach to problem-solving that utilizes creative processes, user empathy, and iterative experimentation in order to develop innovative ideas and solutions. By understanding the components of design thinking and applying them to your practice, you’ll be able to create products that are uniquely suited to customer needs.

Prototyping and rapid learning

Prototyping and rapid learning

An idea is worthless until it’s been tested. Your team will learn how to test quickly with minimal resources: paper prototypes, role plays, simple mockups. The goal is not perfection – it’s early learning. Teams that test fast fail small and learn big. The iterative framework for this is covered in the Agile Workshop.
Communicating and selling innovation internally

Communicating and selling innovation internally

A good idea that doesn’t convince internally doesn’t get implemented. Your team will learn how to communicate innovations so they gain traction: the right language for decision-makers, the right structure for pitches, the right arguments for skeptical stakeholders. The strategic communication framework for this is covered in the Strategic Communication Workshop.
Process of ideation

Process of ideation

The ideation phase within the design thinking process leaves room for freedom of design. This enables ideas to be generated with the help of creativity models – scamer, Disney method and six thinking hats will soon be familiar aids. The interdisciplinarity of the design thinking teams brings different aspects into the process and generates a broad spectrum of topics.
AI as an innovation accelerant

AI as an innovation accelerant

AI can summarize research, identify patterns in user data, generate idea variations, and prototype content at speed. Your team will learn how to integrate AI deliberately into innovation processes – as a tool that adds momentum, not as a replacement for judgment. Who masters the fundamentals leads the AI. Not the other way around.

Come on, do it!
